Jessica Mackenzie has been a school psychologist in the Yorktown Central School District, NY since 2009. She earned her bachelors from Binghamton University in 2005 and her Masters in Education from Long Island University in 2009. During her eleven years as a professional she has completed hundreds of psychological and educational evaluations, chaired Committee on Special Education meetings, counseled students and offered professional development and consultation to colleagues. In addition to her role as a high school building psychologist, she is a certified Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for School (TCIS) trainer. She is also the team leader for Dialectical Behavior Therapy in her district. She has a passion for mindfulness and how it can be practiced to benefit the professional and the classroom student.
